6. Handy travel tips:
  • Pack like a pro! A lighter bag makes it easier to move around and gives more space for souvenirs and gifts.

  • Know your trains and stations

Resultado de imagen de train stationç

  • Double-check your trains and stations. Be prepared for each stage of your train journey, from the moment you enter the station, to your time on the train and when to get off.

                              Resultado de imagen de train

Many larger cities have multiple train stations, and trains to and from the city do not always stop at all of them. Double check exactly which station you need to depart from, so you don’t miss your train.

If there is a specific station in a city you want to arrive at, also check that the train you’re taking stop there.

Tips on using the app

The Rail Planner App has a few limitations. Most importantly, it won't be able to tell you if there are any delays.

For this reason, make sure you keep an eye on the info signs at the train station.

Making reservations for all trains or booking a hotel is also not possible with the Rail Planner App.

Children aged under four years travel for free and do not need their own pass, the only condition is that you may be asked  to sit your child on your lap if there aren't free seats on the train.

Children between four and eleven years old (minimum at the first day of the trip) travel for free with a Child Pass, but he or she must be accompanied by an adult at all time. This accompanist doesn't have to be a family member, it simply can be anyone over 18 years old.
